Deutsches Zentrum für Herzinsuffizienz (DZHI)
The German Center for Heart Failure (DZHI), is a joint facility of the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and the University Hospital of Würzburg. It is one of eight integrated research and treatment centers in Germany that are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The center began its work in November 2010.
The Center employs a holistic approach to research and treats systemic disease heart failure, including its accompanying and secondary diseases.
It relies on top-level interdisciplinary research, which is put into direct practical use at the DZHI and Würzburg University Hospital.
As a unique institution in Germany, the center integrates basic research, clinical research and patient treatment on the subject of heart failure under one roof.

When coming by plane, the closest airports are the Albrecht Dürer airport in Nürnberg (NUE) or the airport in Frankfurt Main (FRA).
